Burnham Brown Women's Committee

Burnham Brown is committed to providing the highest quality of legal services.  To achieve this goal, a primary objective of Burnham Brown is the promotion and retention of women attorneys through the development of an open, professional working environment in which they can thrive.  Headed by Partner and Chair Aimee Hamoy-Perera, the Women’s Committee adheres to this commitment and focuses on the advancement of women in the law, including the importance of female leaders at every level of the firm.  Burnham Brown understands that its women lawyers have full-time lives and full-time jobs and it seeks to balance the two.

This Committee’s goal is to foster an open dialogue and to provide a support network among the women at Burnham Brown, in order to promote career advancement and professional development.  In furtherance of its objectives, Burnham Brown co-sponsors with the Association of Corporate Counsel an annual Women’s Event wherein a panel of speakers across all industries provide valuable insights into the promotion and retention of women in the legal profession.

Further, the Women’s Committee actively participates in the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Walk as well as local organizations which benefit the growth of women in their careers.

Burnham Brown’s Women’s Committee also strives to fuel the continued growth of women's initiatives to provide a forum to discuss their experiences and readiness to take on new roles, learn how to promote their successes and identify what skills are needed to advance. This Committee endeavors to provide female leaders with the tools and resources to achieve their goals.
